As any Pennsylvania RV owner, (as well as those aficionados of the lifestyle up and down the entire eastern seaboard), is likely already aware, a very special RV event
happens in September of every year in the quaint town of
Hershey, PA. Billed as “America’s Largest RV Show,” it truly
lives up to that preeminent title. For the past four years attendance records have been broken each and every year.
And this goes back prior to the RV Industry itself crawling
out of the national economic depression! Just check out the
numbers from the last few years!
If you and your family were not included in this year’s attendance, make plans to attend the show in 2016! Mark
your calendars now for September 14 - 18, 2016.
America’s Largest RV Show enjoys a lengthy history of
being the first true major consumer/retail RV show of the
new season. In fact many RV manufacturers build certain
recreational vehicles just for this show. A number of the
newest models actually debut at the Hershey event, thereby adding to its importance. It provides the perfect backdrop for that first peek at the newest innovations, floorplans
and color schemes that attract even the most casual RV
wannabee, as well as the seasoned RVer perhaps looking
to upgrade to a larger (or smaller) RV. Special pricing
also abounds at America’s Largest RV Show, from virtually
every dealer representing their specific brands. Over 33
football fields worth of RVs, suppliers and campgrounds
offering every type of recreational vehicle, accessory and
resort setting fills out the Giant Center and its vast parking
lot, such that it has expanded its footprint over the last
few years to over 1 million square feet of display space!

trailers, toy haulers, park model destination units, conventional travel trailers, all represented by member dealers as
well as factory personnel, stand ready for your viewing
pleasure. It provides an opportunity for potential RV buyers
to actually chat with the factory people so that no question

be talking to one of the designers or engineers of the unit
you find yourself ogling! Other smaller, local or regional
RV shows rarely have factory representation at an event.
Another advantage, and thereby adding to the importance

educational seminars from some of the industry’s most
respected authors and educators. Many of the presenters
have received prestigious awards from the Recreation
Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA). From proactive RV
preventive maintenance procedures, to living the lifestyle,
to properly understanding RV tires, to featured accessories
and products, to destination advice, to specialized resort
living, to repair services, a number of informational topics
are presented all five days of the show. Again, an important aspect not found in smaller venues.
And who can argue with holding such an event in the
Sweetest Place on Earth®? America’s Largest RV Show
shares the same parking lot as the world-famous Hersheypark! Aside from taking advantage of proximity, kids
of course, are welcomed at the show too! With plenty
of tasty food vendors, indoor and outside displays and
informational seminars, it’s a fun time for the entire family!
