Little Boy was the name which the Americans baptized the bomb thrown at Hiroshima. The uranium-235 pump weighing 4,400 kilograms, 3 meters long, 75 centimeters in diameter and an explosive power of 16 kilotons - 1600 tons of dynamite - exploded at 8:15 on August 6, 1945 at a 600 meters altitude above the Japanese city, ending the life of approximately 140,000 people.
