4 Business Description
The primary revenue stream for the Company in Year 1 will come from the sale of computer
repair services to households and businesses owning computers. As computers have become a
necessity for many on a day-to-day basis, the Company will be able to withstand downward
economic changes as people will continue to require computer repairs. The Company will
generate revenues from per hour labor fees and selling spare parts related to the repair of
computers. Clients will have the option to leave their devices at the Company’s premises, have
the repair performed onsite, or remotely if it is simply a software issue.
Starting in Year 2, the Company will provide Internet of Things solutions which will then
eventually become the primary revenue stream. The solutions will help clients with tasks such as
decision-making, customer relationships, delivering new customer value propositions, improving
and optimizing operations, and improving the overall value of the business.
Internet of Things devices are a part of the larger concept of home automation, also known as
domotics. Large smart home systems use a main hub or controller to provide users with a central
control for all of their devices. These devices can include lighting, heating and air conditioning,
