Seniors Purichia and Bansbach reflect on the season
What does a championship season mean to a senior ? Senior pictures , plans for proms and graduations , moments and relationships dominate the memories . Amidst the monumental occasions and final experiences , where do athletic achievements fall ? What does an Indiana High School Athletic Association Volleyball Championship mean to a senior ?
The team ’ s seniors , Grace Purichia and Taylor Bansbach , reflect on what the season has meant and will continue to mean to them . “ I feel an overwhelming sense of pride ,” offered Grace . “ I am just glad that we could leave our mark on the program in a very lasting way . I feel like this is the best year that we could have done that . I am glad that we got to experience this kind of championship with this group of girls and coaches .”
Taylor added , “ We just love everyone so much . We have been together for a couple of years , and we have built a foundation with each other . Our personalities fit together and now we will be remembered as the team that won the championship .”
It had been six years since Providence was represented in the volleyball finals . Through that time , the COVID-19 pandemic
