PROTECTION ACADEMY
We held quarterly Protection Academies to support your ongoing development , ensuring all partners taking part were bringing a fresh new approach and relevance to the information they were keen to share with you . We invited industry spokespeople and senior personnel from providers ’ organisations to offer a broad view of what was happening in the markets and how their organisations were responding . We also focussed on training , inviting personnel that could offer advice regarding how to increase your protection penetration within your client base , while also at the same time , creating a potentially significant income stream that works in conjunction with other advice types .
We created Protection Matters , a monthly digest that looks at some of the commonly asked adviser questions , and offered answers or solutions to allow you to assess your approach to a topic in the future . These ongoing sessions have been very well attended and the interactivity , where attendees are positively encouraged to offer their thoughts about the discussion , ask for further clarity or offer opposing views , has provided many a vibrant and engaging event to date .
Inside Track was new to the schedule this year and its format is to offer access to our protection providers ’ highly experienced BDMs , who offer valuable detail about products and policy submission that will ensure you are able to support the intricacies of your client ’ s situation and achieve better results .
Protection Strategy was a short series of events providing information specifically for advisers working in the provision of wealth advice . Previously , largely seen as the domain of the mortgage adviser , protection came out of its shell as more advisers found their clients asking questions about what was in place for their family , as the headlines made ‘ what if ’ more of a reality .

INSIDE TRACK
To deliver something that might speak directly to these focussed advisers , we took the opportunity to explore relevant and topical issues , which included executive income protection , financial wellbeing , IHT treatments , relevant life and protection portfolios .
Last and far from least were our Protection Roadshows , our first venture out to the regions since March 2020 . The event listing also featured a virtual opportunity for those advisers not served by a local regional event without a significant investment in time or for those who were engaged at the time and would watch at a later date .

Next year ’ s schedule , at the time of writing this , is filling out nicely and we would expect to be bringing you more of the same and in some areas , even more !
