Cloud computing is where a user can store, share or access data or programs through the internet rather than saving it to a device. While it appears these files are stored in ‘the cloud’, the files are often physically stored on multiple servers around the world. Similarly, when using social networking sites or webmail accounts your data is stored in the cloud. WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES OF CLOUD COMPUTING? There may be some concerns about the security and privacy of sensitive information which is stored in ‘the cloud’, and the ability of unauthorised people to access this information.
