Evaluating Portfolios: Teacher Resource NOTE: There is no “right” or “wrong” way to evaluate portfolios; however, evaluation criteria should be established before the portfolios are assigned, and these should be shared with your ProTeam students. Your method of evaluating will depend upon the other method(s) of evaluation that you normally use for your students. The methods described below are only two of many methods that you may choose to use. Using an Arithmetic Method of Grading If you choose to use an arithmetic method of grading, you need to assign a total number of points to the portfolio. Each section of the completed portfolio is equal to a particular number of points. Below is a sample of the arithmetic method using 100 points as the total number of points possible.
