Choose one or both of the following means of assessment:
1. Write a response to the following questions in your journal:
What does your collage reveal about what is authentically you?
Which side best reflects the true you?
What do people know or what would you like people to know about your secret
self? Why?
2. The students will write an entry in their journal telling about a time when they were
feeling down about themselves and how they got through it. Now that they have learned
more about things they can do to make themselves feel better, what would they do
differently? Which of the suggestions would be hardest to do? Why? Which will they use
that they never thought of before?
To complete this component, allow students to choose from the list of options below:
v Invite the ProTeam parents to the classroom, and have the students present the public
self of their collages to the parent group.
v Ask the student to take the poster board and create a collage titled, “What I’d Like
People to Know about My Father/Mother/Guardian.” Encourage students to select
pictures that are complimentary.
v In lieu of a collage, students could create a booklet with pages of mini-collages with
the assistance of family members.
