Miles of Smiles Booklet Directions
1. To make the cover, use one colored 5 x 8 index card folded in half vertically.
2. Label outside front cover as follows:

These can be purchased at Oriental Trading
Company (www.orientaltrading.com), at a
teacher supply store, or even made by the
ProTeam students.
3. Fold two or three white 5 x 8 index cards in the center and staple in the center inside the
colored outside cover. The white pages will be used to record signatures of students who
give compliments.
4. Construct the left inside front cover and inside pages according to the sample below:

Inside pages (white cards)
Name
Include two or three white 5 x 8 index cards
folded and stapled inside to be used for the
students’ names and compliments.
Encourage students to be creative in
designing their covers and the inside pages
of the booklet.
v When you give a sincere compliment to
someone, sign this booklet and pass it on
to the person who receives the
compliment from you.
v He will give someone a sincere
compliment, sign the book, and pass it
on.
v Sign the booklet only once. The purpose
is to get as many people as possible
giving compliments and signing the
booklet.
v Ask permission from your teacher before
passing the booklet in classrooms.
v Return the booklet to the ProTeam
teacher at the end of the day.
