2. Tell the students you have two stories to read to them that will help them understand
how they learn. After each story they will answer four questions and think about what
each story teaches us about how we learn.
3. Read "Sam's Soccer Problem" aloud to the class. Distribute copies of “Thinking
About Sam's Soccer Problem: Comprehension” handout. Allow students time to
answer the questions on their own and then share responses in groups of four. Allow
the groups to share with the entire class if time permits.
4. Read "Bobby's Biking Lesson" to the class. Repeat the same processing procedure
using the “ Q
