5. Divide the class into small groups to share their “Things That Bug Me.” Instruct
group members to create a list of positive strategies to deal with those people, events,
and/or thoughts that bug them.
6. Invite the groups to share their lists of things that bug them and positive strategies
with the class.
ASSESSMENT:
Choose one or both of the following means of assessment:
1. The students will write a reflective paper or journal entry on why they feel the things
noted on their handout bug them and what they can do to better deal with them.
2. The students will invent a de-bugger for themselves. It can be a technical drawing or
an actual three dimensional model but must include an explanation of how it gets rid
of or helps them deal with what bugs them. Encourage students to be creative with
their inventions.
