COOL AS CAN BE
Your body language says you’re confident, honest and interested. Standing straight and
looking others in the eyes show that you’re interested in them and what they have to say.
When people talk to you, you express your interest by smiling and nodding as they speak.

LOOKIN’ A LITTLE ALOOF
Sure, you may be confident, but your body language could indicate that you’re out of
reach. Pay attention next time you’re having a conversation. Are you easily distracted?
If so, your body language just about screams that you checked out of the conversation
long ago. Your body cues are also a way of expressing nervousness –– although it might
come across as boredom rather than insecurity. Be a better listener by keeping your body
and your eye contact aimed at the person you’re listening to.

BUNDLE OF NERVES (AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT!)
Although you may have all the right things to say, your body language can’t conceal your
lack of confidence. Habits like nail or lip biting and playing with your hair are sure-fire
signs that you’re ill at ease. Ditto for stances like slouching or looking down. Work on
your body signals; stand tall and maintain eye contact. You’ll actually feel more
confident just by acting more confident.
