The NL stands for The Non-Listener. While your partner is talking, you will play the
role of the non-listener. You will do everything you can to keep from listening to what
your partner is saying. But you cannot . . .
v Cover your ears;
v Sing or make any noises; or
v Leave your seat.
You are allowed to make occasional comments or interruptions unrelated to what your
partner is saying, but you cannot continually talk over your partner's voice. Your partner
may realize that you are not being attentive, but do not tell him that you are deliberately
not listening.
