Try bringing your freak-out factor down a couple of notches. For instance, the next time you feel as if you’re about to turn a “no biggie” into an “oh, gosh!,” relax. Soon you’ll realize that even if you do mess up, things have a way of working themselves out. Your laid-back attitude keeps you from taking life too seriously. While you’re clued in to what you should focus your energies on- like schoolwork, relationships or a part-time job- you don’t sweat the small stuff. Friends enjoy hanging with you because you don’t waste time making yourself –– or anyone else –– nuts. You’re so easygoing that nothing seems to bother you. But your carefree style could be mistaken for not caring at all. According to Vlamis, you may choose to go with the flow rather than risk rejection. Instead of always letting things just roll off your back, though, get more involved with what’s going on around you. Once you offer an opinion, you’ll find that people will appreciate your input.
