house or will we move?" "Who were some of our relatives from several generations
earlier?" "What will it be like when the children are all married some day and we get
together for family reunions?" Content can be about the immediate family members
or extended family members.
v Family members might want to give the family sub sandwich a name.
v In class, have the students either write about or discuss what they learned about their
parents and families.
The sub sandwiches can be displayed in the classroom or become part of each
student's portfolio.
