This is one of the jewelry workshops that they carry out with the women of the Te Acompaño foundation , women who have been physically and psychologically abused , on this occasion they have the support of the Chocò Mestizo cafe .
What is their driving force ? The mission is to generate well-being , empowerment and structural changes in thinking through art , training and improvement of manual skills , with a focus on emotional , economic well-being and environmental conservation ( recycling ), providing different communities with tools of practical knowledge in the production of different products resulting from manual art , to generate new small entrepreneurs and a sustainable economy in the region . Making each person who participates in the training workshops : an agent of change . The target group is the population in conditions of social , economic and physical vulnerability in the territory . The ARTE-SANO project works with vulnerable communities in the territory , generating new entrepreneurs , multiplying knowledge , enhancing current skills and energizing the local economy , with the implementation of each venture . The empowerment of each individual leads to the empowerment of each community .
Their reward comes from seeing this happen !
There are however challanges :
• Socially , to deconstruct mental limitations associated with believing oneself with little capacity for progress and generating changes internally and in other members of the community .
• In the execution of the project , find the financial resources to develop each workshop or program .
• It is difficult because it is sometimes difficult to access the different funds , due to the multiple requests they have or because not all the requirements of the calls in the different regions are met .
