TALKING POINTS
Real estate investments are one of
the most secure types of investing
nowadays. We all know that stocks
and bonds can be badly affected by
recessions, as we had experienced
during 2008. Real estate on the other
hand, has the capacity to increase in
value as time passes even as an effect
of economic fluctuation.

The ‘original’ Golden Triangle

Good real estate investments give
you better leverage hence makes it
a desirable collateral for loans. The
earning capacity for these types of
properties makes it an attractive
mortgage subject for banks and other
financial institutions. Good real estate
investment appreciates over time or
increases its net worth through the
years.
Real estate is an investment where you
can have a “say” on what happens to
it. You can decide what to do with the
investment and not just let others do

with investments on stocks where a
board of directors generally does the
overall decisions for your investments.
However, it isn’t always a bed of roses
as it is made out to be. Real Estate
investment needs a lot of research and
clever involvement. Hasty decisions
may not fare well unless you have the
capabilities to sustain the repayments
for a very long time and enjoy its capital
appreciation at the end of the day.
Smart investments on the other hand
would come from thorough research
initiations.

the Sungai Besi Airport. This created
a new gateway for import and export
as well as travel, complementing that
of Port Klang. This instantly created
a triangle (which I like to call the
original Golden Triangle). My reason
for this name is simply because this
triangle created golden opportunities
for the property industry and golden
investments for homebuyers as many
pockets of townships were eventually
