So, it was some 10 years ago when I was first introduced to
this Italian ‘kwai lo’ who to me came across as a very jovial guy
who spoke with animated hand gestures and a very distinctive
and authoritative speech. It was like love at first sight (in a very
plutonic way) — I knew immediately that we were bound to
be good friends as I noticed that Dr Daniele Gambero and me,
shared very similar characteristics.
True enough, after just our second meet up, we became good
pals. More than just learning from him about the property
industry and economics, I learnt a lot from him with
regards to business, entrepreneurship as well as life in
general.
So, in this issue of Property360Digest e-magazine,
we have decided to feature Gambero as the
chosen cover personality and feature story.
Let’s sit with him for coffee and find out a
little more about this witty gentleman.
Question: Who is Daniele Gambero? Give
us your background, where you are from
and what was your field of study?
Answer: Born a few years ago in Italy (told
you he was witty) I’ve studied in Italy and
the United States before working in several
countries all around the world. Marketing,
as well as the triangle of Economy/
Marketing/Property, has been the pinnacle
of my career and life.
Since 1998 I chose Malaysia as my
first home and ever since then, I’ve been
growing my business – REI Group of
Companies, together with a strategic local
partner. We are a strategic powerhouse
that deals with marketing/digital marketing
and market analysis services for Malaysian
developers.
Question: What was your ambition
when young? What made you leave your
ambition and pursue your current career?
Answer: My dream since I was a young
boy, and still is till today, is to be able to
help people and businesses make correct
decisions. How is this possible? This is only
achievable with accurate analysis of both the
business and the current market and reading
the correct trends positively. Honestly, I have
never given up my dream and worked all my
life towards this achievement.
Question: What made you choose the
field of property?
Answer: Properties are the best possible
asset in the market, even though one has
to look at property investment as a long-
term game and not a short-term profit-
making machine. Above all, it is important
to understand that it is very difficult or in
better terms, almost impossible to become
a millionaire with property investment. But
if you are already a millionaire, investing in
the correct type of properties, will possibly
lead you to becoming a multi-millionaire.
Question: What made you come to
Malaysia from Italy?
Answer: After being born and breadth in
the old continent (Europe) and then living
for a total of 11 years in the new continent
(three Americas) I thought it was about
time to start looking east. Once I landed in
South East Asia, back in 1998, I’ve used my
“triangular formula” as mentioned earlier
