The game-changer
in shopping
online
grocery

It’s 7am on a Monday morning. The kids are
already awake. I’m trying to enjoy my morning
coffee but they’re already arguing amongst
themselves. School holidays are hard... harder
when you have 3 kids, all 3 years apart, go figure.
I looked into the larder; then the fridge wondering what to
cook for lunch and simultaneously wondering if the meal I’m
about to prepare can be stretched for dinner as well. But to my
dismay, I needed groceries. The thought of taking my 3 tyrants
to the grocers made me want to go back to bed and play dead
for the rest of the day.
Then I remembered that there is this new app called
mygroser and I heard it’s pretty darn good. So, I downloaded
the app and did a bit of research about them because I don’t
recall ever seeing a physical grocery store called “mygroser”
anywhere.
From what I read on their app, they only operate online
with no physical store. So how do they
deliver fresh meats and vegetables was
the first thing that popped into my head.
Well, they have what they call Cloud Stores
that contain cold rooms, chilled rooms,
processing sites, baking sites and storage
facilities that ensure everything you order
remains as fresh as possible. This sounded
superb to me as there have been times
when I ordered my groceries online, and
the meats that were delivered looked like
the animal they formerly were died of
natural causes.
Another interesting thing I found on
the app was that there were various
items on sale, which is always a plus point
for me as well as a voucher section that
gives us access to the available discounts
and promotions like free delivery options.
Fantastic!!! I hate paying delivery charges.
Also, another thing that really got me
was the fact that I could earn reward
points on all my purchases, which can
then be converted into savings on my next
purchase. WIN!
Using the app proved to be a breeze
as well. I was able to not only order my
groceries and premium products quickly,
but I was also able to compare them
AND save the items I buy regularly to a
favourites list. Another WIN!
So, I quickly added the items I needed
to my cart and I of course opted for the
free delivery voucher option (duh!) and
waited for my groceries to arrive. Another
plus point is the fact that mygroser delivers
every single day, 7 days a week from 9am
to 9pm.
My order arrived some 3 hours later
which is pretty decent timing if u ask me. I
would definitely be able to prepare lunch in
time AND I never had to leave the comforts
of my home (with my kids in tow) to stock
up on groceries before cooking.
Now shall I tell u the absolute best part
of the whole experience I had ordering
from mygroser? The game changer if you
will... You see, as a mother of 3 young
children, I sometimes have to stock up on
snacks for bribery purposes when the kids
get out of hand and I need a little break.
So, I decided to order some ice cream.
Now, the said ice cream I ordered came in
thermal controlled packaging and I received
it still frozen! Yes! Thermal controlled
packaging. You see... GAME CHANGER! Am I
right? Or am I right?
Overall, I’m extremely impressed with
mygroser and I would recommend it to
just about anyone. From parents, to young
adults, senior citizens to millennials; I think
the concept is absolute genius and I think
most of us could use a fast, convenient and
hassle-free way to get our groceries done.
