World Trade Centre Proposal for Perth

WA Government unveils a proposal to build a $ 1.85-Billion World Trade Centre in East Perth backed by a private Middle-Eastern group that includes former Perth Airport manager Neil Kidd . The privately-funded towers would be 36 and 75 storeys . It will be by far Perth ’ s biggest and tallest building .
A shopping mall , hotel , international trade , investment and convention centre would be woven into high-rise buildings that would also feature apartments and restaurants in what WA Premier said was a landmark development for Perth .
The plan will undergo a detailed assessment that will require the proponent to address a number of requirements , including funding options , before a participation agreement can be entered into with the state government , and before possible state funding can be negotiated .
World Trade Centres Association is led by Qatarbased businessman Ghazi Abu Nahl , with Kidd listed as business development director of the group ’ s Perth division .
In a recent interview with the reporters , Kidd said that some 20 percent of the world ’ s population reside in the
Australian time zone and their top 3 trading partners are China , Japan and the Asean nations .
“ We believe a World Trade Centre in Perth will anchor the renewal of an area that ’ s underutilised , it will showcase brand WA and it will stimulate and boost trade ”, he said .

Economy Boost for Sabah as 40,000 Chinese Tourists Flood In
Tourist arrivals to Sabah from January to October 2016 registered at 2,753,709 compared to 2,601,022 for the corresponding period in 2015 , showing an increase of 5.87 %.

These arrivals will boost Sabah ’ s economy and leisure property in the State . The 2017 Chinese New Year season has seen fully booked rooms in many 4 and 5 star hotels .
With the ever-thriving influx of Chinese tourist , this will help with the property market as hotels , commercial properties and serviced residences will be in demand .
The openings of 3 major hotels in KK have been delayed according to reliable sources but the development of the Sabah International
Convention Centre is in progress .
The good news is that Malindo Airlines will have direct flights from KK to Taipei starting from May 2017 , with a total of 4 weekly flights . This move is expected to bring in an additional 25,000 visitors

At the same time , negotiations are still ongoing for more chartered flights from China to Sabah in 2017 . The Federal government has confirmed that last year ’ s recorded tourist arrivals from China will continue to grow .
