ounded in 1984, CMD Ltd is a British manufacturer which strives to find the solutions needed to tackle the challenges of
integrating power and technology with
furniture for commercial environments. The company hit peak turnover of £17m in 2008 but fell back to
£13-14m and lost staff the following year as the
recession hit. Now it has confidently returned to
pre-recession levels and looks to the future with
confidence as it passes its thirtieth anniversary with
a refit of its Rotherham head office and prestigious
London showroom.
The company’s capability includes a total product
range of underfloor busbar, floor boxes, power modules, CPU supports, monitor arms, cable management
solutions and lighting busbar designed and developed
to provide installations that are quick, easy and adaptable for contractor, client and end user.
“British manufacturing is still alive,” CMD’s Head
of Marketing and Business Development Jenny Bell
told Property and Development magazine. That’s
emphasised by the company building the majority of
its products in its Rotherham factory where it has
