Prom Issue 1 2013 | Page 2

Welcome

Prom Mag is a collaborative project

that I’m quite passionate about.

The material you’ll see here over

the months comes from several

sources that are directly and

distantly related to the School

Formal Industry.

Contributors include Events Industry Experts, Legal Professionals, Teaching and School Administration Professionals, Parents, Teen Focus Groups, Hospitality Industry Specialists and a host of others who have experience and opinions well worth your attention.

Articles will diversify, sometimes vastly, in message from fashion tips to harm minimisation, economic analysis to colour coordination, time-management to menu ideas. There truly is something in every edition for anyone involved with School Formals.

We welcome credible and topical contributions from anywhere and everywhere so if you feel you have something that would be share-worthy, by all means get in touch and get involved.

Quote of the Month...

“While the formal isn’t officially part of the state curriculum, smart educators are beginning to recognise that it’s one of the most significant social-development aspects of school life, and one that’s going to happen with or without the school’s approval or involvement.”

Elliot Kleiner, Minor’s Functions Expert, addressing the

Legislative Assembly, NSW Parliament House, October 30th 2012.
