THE NEW APOSTOLIC EPOCH
LAMENT: WHEN PRAYER
BECOMES TEARS
Apostolic epochs involve a breaking away,
a new definition and a reorientation. They
refocus kingdom purposes. The apostolic
epoch that we are now entering is the fulfill-
ment of the desire of Jesus, that his church
be a house of prayer for all nations. It is my
sincere belief that we are on the edge of
such a moment again.
Our churches are full of people in the midst
of pain and loss, but they know with all the
hip music and praise dancers that weeping
will not be honored. Is the church no lon-
ger a place that admits those who weep
and mourn? Isn’t there a blessing for the
mourner promised by Jesus, himself, a
word for those who need comfort? Indeed, it is the first bless-
ing among the beatitudes! At some point in worship, a voice
should rise that recognizes those in pain, gives language to
their heartache, to which they can say, “Amen!”
MILLENNIALS: THE YOUNG ADULT
HARVEST THAT WE DARE NOT MISS
ne of the major ideological losses to the theology of the mod-
ern Christian and the Church is the complete and utter dis-
missal of the concept of the fear of God. The age-old expression
‘God-fearing’ has become archaic and has almost been expunged from
popular usage. The change affects our prayer life, our personal and cor-
porate morality along with the quality of our witness, the level of our
faithfulness, our language and demeanor, and thus our relationships with
one another.
This distortion of our perspective of God is the essence of idolatry,
because it refashions God, and consequently, that reshapes our thinking
and behaving. It causes us to exploit grace, cheapen mercy, twist truth,
ignore holiness, and disbelieve in consequences and judgement. We dis-
miss sin’s toxic nature and argue that it has no consequences, disallowing
the idea of discipline and judgement. We limit God’s authority and pow-
er to positive enhancements in our behalf.
There can be no awakening that has lasting change unless our respect for
God and His throne are restored.
Recapture the generation that checked
O out
of church. Millennials have embraced a very
different philosophical and moral vision than
that of their grandparents. Only God can heal
the divide and reclaim the current generation!

TRANSFORMING YOUR
PERSONAL PRAYER LIFE
This book is designed to help a serious
Christian develop a broader and deeper
prayer life. The principles here will seem
simple, indeed, they are simple. But their
application is far too rare, even among
church-going Christians. Prayer demands
practice and an investment. Using the practical exercises
included in this volume as a template for spiritual growth you
can transform your personal prayer life.
Practical exercises to develop
a new lens for a balanced prayer life.

The call in Scripture for our ‘reverence’ or
fear of God is more frequent than the call
to ‘love God.’ Without the fear of God, we
are blinded by our own shadow, seeing
little difference between mortals and the
immortal. The more we reverence God,
the higher self-worth and self-esteem rise
without becoming self-centered, or being
blinded by pride and arrogance. Nobility emerges. We see
ourselves as God’s children, reflecting His image.

FEAR OF GOD AND PRAYER
FEAR OF GOD
P. DOUGLAS SMALL
Foreword by Bill Elliff
Pastor, The Summit Church
IT ONLY TAKES A SPARK
BY DAVID F. NIXON
Only a few pastors successfully lead
their churches back to a time of growth
and vitality after major decline, crisis,
or plateau. Six times, David F. Nixon led
struggling churches to viability. You don’t
have to be another pastor who walked
away from a dying church. Both you and
your church can thrive again.
