INTRODUCTION
The Progressive Era was an era that made huge changes to the American society. Cities grew in the late 1800s and early
1900s. America workers
moved into the cities in search of jobs, and immigrants came along as well but life in these cities were pretty difficult. Factory workers as well as immigrants lived in tenements and they were also not earning a real living. Jane Addams try solving these problems by creating settlement houses for workersand he ended up doing a Hull house.
