NAACP

Since its establishment in 1909, the NAACP has fought to ensure political, educational, economic and social equality in America. With monthly news publications in its early days, the group worked to secure rights for all people guaranteed in the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. One of the association’s greatest achievements occurred when the Supreme Court overturned Plessy vs. Ferguson in the Brown vs. Board of Education case. The result was the end of segregation.
