Th e elegant evening will begin with a VIP
reception at 6pm where guests will be entertained
by the Sounds of Gadsden in a live premier
performance of jazz and rhythm & blues music.
Th e reception will aff ord the community with a
stellar-type opportunity to personally meet and
greet the President of the Florida Chapter of
the Democratic Women’s Club, the Chair of the
Florida Democratic Party and several candidates
for state and local offi ce in 2014. Th ere will also
be a display and silent auction of some wonderful
Black Art.
Beginning at 7pm, guests attending the Dinner
Program will enjoy a scrumptious meal,
outstanding performers and speakers, and witness
the historic presentations of the very fi rst “Patricia
Stephens Due Legends Award”, “Vivian Davis Kelly
Community Advocate Award” and the “Estella M.
McGriff Democratic Woman of the Year Award”.
Th ese awards are named in honor of three black
women from Gadsden County who worked for
democracy in this nation, state and county.
Tickets are $75.00 to attend the Reception and
Dinner Program or $50.00 to attend the Dinner
Program, only. Advanced ticket purchase is
