MY PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE
As a Business Woman , I strongly believe that past performance is a trustworthy indicator for future expectations . Tough times require a leader to make the correct " CHOICES " regarding innovation , vision , and leadership . My five principles ofleadership are driven by these " CHOICES :'
C - Change agent- Be the change you would like to see in the world . I remember participating in the Harvard Executive Program . The beauty of this experience was the ability to learn from key leaders of all types of industries . One of my most memorable experiences was working with a leader ( Zeng ) from China . Zeng was the Deputy Chief Executive for a TV company . She was inspired to change the way the world views others based on their differences . We exchanged ideas , and Zeng taught me how to tell my son " good night " in Chinese . You see , my son was studying Chinese at the time in school .
H - Honesty- My mom and dad taught me that your word is your bond . If you have no integrity , then you have already made the wrong choice in leadership .
0 - Opportunity- Recognize that every day is an opportunity to be great . Work hard , recognize people are most important , respect others , and respect yourself. Provide others an opportunity to grow . Reach back and help someone else be great .
I - Innovation - Be creative of new ideas . Have the courage and leadership to demonstrate your creation .
C - Compassion- Inspire others to find their passion , encourage others to be brave , and provide others with a voice to be heard . You never know when your path will inspire someone to be great . Every week I would visit a local restaurant and just have a basic conversation with the young lady working there . I noticed every time I stopped by she would just talk and not let me leave , so one day she opened up and told me that she looks forward to me stopping by because I have inspired her to want more out of life . She never knew her mom and was always looking for a leader to look up to . I just happen to be that person . The moral of this message is : Always show compassion for others ! You never know when you have made a difference .
E -Education- Knowledge is power . Never stop learning or improving your craft . Many years ago , I realized that the environment I was in was changing . I then decided to pursue my Master in Business Administration . This was one of the best decisions I could have made to tweak myself and my brand . Immediately after obtaining my MBA degree , I was promoted to a higher positon within my company . This was proven to be a great investment .

S - Spirituality- Know that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you . God has placed a seed in your hand . The only thing you have to do is plant the seed and watch your success grow !
