The Women of Color Cultural Foundation is proud to co-host the Annual ABC Breast Health Summit in Florida in October every year , that teaches women about prevention , detection , treatment and provides a better understanding of the health disparities that exists among African American , Hispanics and other women of Color ( ABC ).

Speaking of Women ' s Health is a conference designed to help women make informed decisions about health , well-being and personal safety for themselves and their families .

Heart of a Woman Luncheon is a great event for learning about cardiovascular health . It is a luncheon held on the first Saturday of February every year . Women and men all dressed in beautiful red , eat a heart healthy lunch and learned about preventing and treating heart disease . We aim to make women more aware of the major risk factors that contribute to cardiovascular disease including obesity , physical inactivity , high blood pressure and diabetes .

Health Symposium for People of All Nations to decrease the health gap that exists between minorities and the general public . Participants receive information from various health care experts on engaging in a healthier life style including the importance of having routine health screenings . The symposium consists of screenings , exhibitors , and workshops .

Ebony and Ivory Gala is a black-tie affair which recognizes women who have made significant contributions in health , education , and economic development . In addition , a community service agency is recognized for its outstanding contributions . The evening of elegance includes dining , dancing , achievement awards , silent auction , and live music . Proceeds from the event benefits scholarships and community service events .

Adolescents Choosing Excellence { ACE ) is an initiative to educate and energize youth from aged 8-18 , on becoming advocates for physical activity , healthy nutrition , decreased total screen time , prolong abstinence , avoid tobacco and alcohol consumption with the goal of reducing risks for health complications .
Universal Teen
Universal Teen Scholarship Program is a 9-week scholarship based program established by the Women of Color Cultural Foundation , Inc . that provides a supportive and congenial environment for selfawareness , personal growth and respect for others from diverse backgrounds . The program helps to nurture and build positive scholastic achievement , creativity , healthy living and community involvement . It also promotes self-confidence , poise , and effective communication skills . The program provide financial assistance for post high school education and has given over $ 260,000 in scholarships to date .
