fulfilled-when that dream finally happened for the first time , every imaginable scenario off ear gripped me and I slipped back into years of silence and in-action .
If you ' re wondering where was God and why hadn ' t I resolved this matter through prayer and faith by now He was there . My perspective of Him was flawed and it affected my relationship with the loving God that answers prayer . When someone would encourage me to pray to the Father , that was a stopping point . My perspective of " a father " was very poor from a young child . Why would I pray to the father ? All fathers do is leave you . Fathers don ' t keep promises ; they let you down , they disappoint you . They just say they ' re going to be there , but rarely show up . You can ' t ask them any questions about life , because fathers are angry and violent , not loving and kind . So , I chose to internalize a lot of things and became a silent partner in the background of my own life . I let life just happen all around me and I willingly chose to deal with the consequences , good or bad . It could be said that my life was an oxymoron ; and it was out of balance . Thank God for some awesome local Pastors who helped me realize the Father God ' s love and grace , and His desire to reveal himself to me in a personal relationship .
Much later in life , I connected with the Live Empowered Now ! group , led by by motivational speaker and 3-Time Best-Selling Author , Traci Henderson-Smith . I realized immediately this was no ordinary Facebook group . It was a movement , and I couldn ' t just join the group and do what was familiar to me-which was be silent , just watch , and not be accountable to anyone for accomplishing goals and putting legs on my un-fulfilled dreams . This group was the answer to one of my prayers .
