Eddie served as the Director of Facilities Operations , Security and Communications for Menorah Medical Center a 158 bed Acute-Care Hospital and Overland Park Regional Medical Center a 356 bed Acute-Care Hospital , in Overland Park , Kansas . Before that , he was the Manager of Operations / COO for Jackson County Missouri where he was responsible for the supervision of seven county departments 670 FT ' s , 225 PT ' s , 700 Volunteers and a operating budget $ 218 million . Eddie has two grown children both are graduates of the University of Missouri .
Eddie was born in Leary , Georgia reared in Albany , Georgia where he finished high school and was later drafted into the United States Army . He served as a Combat Infantryman in Viet Nam in the early 70 ' s where he received a Bronze Star for combat operations against hostile forces , with more than 20 years
