The Rev . Kenneth Crossman , an ardent crusader of human rights and civil liberties , leaves a legacy of victories that made him an icon among civil-rights revolutionaries in Central Florida . A Harvard-educated businessman , World War II veteran and pastor for nearly 35 years , Crossman ' s loved ones describe him as living a life of David vs . Goliath . Ken was a master bridge builder across social , racial , and religious boundaries , and he continued this work in large and small ways until the day he died . One of his dreams was to provide scholarships for students at Bethune-Cookman College . Upon Ken ' s death , The Crossman family lead by John Crossman of Crossman & Company , a premier real estate firm founded in 1990 that focus on serving retail landlord exclusively throughout the Southeast , with the help of many friends established the " Ken Endowed
