W hen a phone rings and a prospective client

is on the line , and the first question is how much do we charge for legal advice or representation on a legal issue , we don ' t hesitate .
Typically , the inquiry suggests the caller is calling several attorneys to compare fees . The caller may choose the lowest priced attorney - often , not our firm . But the motivation behind the inquiry doesn ' t affect our answer . We believe that most callers are capable of understanding and appreciating value . We strive to offer so much more than other attorneys , that even if our fee quote is highest , the caller may conclude that our firm remains the better choice .
The key is how we handle the question . Although our fee quotes are competitive , we offer professional services that are unique . We will speak with the prospective client in person in our office ( no charge for initial consultation ) to determine which course of action is best for the situation . Our fee quote is based on the specific situation , and not on competing with other lawyers on price alone .
The goal of the in-person interview is to allow us to do a complete job of diagnosing their needs , hopefully showing them benefits they won ' t get from other attorneys . At the conclusion of the interview , we ' ll quote a fee for the expected services . Ultimately , our fee quote is contingent on what we do , which is better than a " one fee fits all " situation .
By the way , in contingency fee cases ( personal injuries and negligence cases ), there is no fee if no recovery .
