Can God trust you , with anything ?

By Pastor Leon R . Bing NJFWC . ORG
Hello friends , I would like to share a passage of scripture and a thought with you . In doing so , I want you to answer the question , " Can God trust you , with anything "? Let ' s take a look at the following Passage .
1 Chronicles 13 NLT
1 David consulted with all his officials , including the generals and captains of his army .
2 Then he addressed the entire assembly oflsrael as follows : " If you approve and if it is the will of the LORD our God , let us send messages to all the Israelites throughout the land , including the priests and Levites in their towns and pasturelands . Let us invite them to come and join us .
3 It is time to bring back the Ark of our God , for we neglected it during the reign of Saul ."
4 The whole assembly agreed to this , for the people could see it was the right thing to do .
5 So David summoned all the people of Israel , from one end of the country to the other , to join in bringing the Ark of God from Kiriathjearim .
6 Then David and all Israel went to Baalah of Judah ( also called Kiriath-jearim ) to bring back the Ark of God , which bears the name of the LORD who is enthroned between the cherubim .
7 They transported the Ark of God from the house of Abinadab on a new cart , with Uzzah and Ahio guiding it .
8 David and all Israel were celebrating before God with all their might , singing and playing all kinds of musical instruments - lyres , harps , tambourines , cymbals , and trumpets .
9 But when they arrived at the threshing floor of Nacon , the oxen stumbled , and Uzzah put out his hand to steady the Ark .
10 Then the LORD ' s anger blazed out against Uzzah , and he struck him dead because he had laid his hand on the Ark . So Uzzah died there in the presence of God .
11 David was angry because the LORD ' s anger had blazed out against Uzzah . He named that place Perez-uzzah ( which means " outbreak against Uzzah "). It is still called that today .
12 David was now afraid of God and asked , " How can I ever bring the Ark of God back into my care ?"
13 So David decided not to move the Ark into the City of David . He took it instead to the home of Obed-edom of Gath .
14 The Ark of God remained there with the family of Obededom for three months , and the LORD blessed him and his entire household
I want to first look at this army of David ' s ; these were some " bad men ". Let ' s see some descriptions of these men .
1 Chronicles 12:2 NLT
All of them were expert archers , and they could shoot arrows or sling stones with their left hand as well as their right . They were all relatives of Saul from the tribe of Benjamin .
1 Chronicles 12:8 NLT
Some brave and experienced warriors from the tribe of Gad also defected to David while he was at the stronghold in the wilderness . They were expert with both shield and spear , as fierce as lions and as swift as deer on the mountains .
1 Chronicles 12:14 NLT
These warriors from Gad were army commanders . The weakest among them could take on a hundred regular troops , and the strongest could take on a thousand !
David was set to go and get back The Ark of the Covenant of God from the Philistines . After all , they killed David ' s best friend Jonathan , The king of Israel , Saul , plus the Ark was in their possession . Now the Ark was in the House of Abinadab , it had been there for 20 years . For twenty years the House of Abinadab was blessed ! Why , because he took care of it !

After the Ark was recovered , the word tells us how much there were praises going up to the Lord in verse 8 . But after Uzzah had been killed because he placed his hand on the Ark , to steady it , the mood changed and David was filled with anger against God in verse 11 . After David thought about it , he did not want to bring the Ark into the City of David . Instead David took the Ark to the home of Obed Edom . And the Word of God says that for three months the Lord blessed him and his family . So then we have seen where two households were entrusted with the Ark of the Covenant . But prior to the Ark going to the house of Abinadab it went to places that people did not properly take care of it . Let ' s take time and read the events surrounding the Ark prior to going to the house of Abinadab .
1 Samuel 5 NLT
1 After the Philistines captured the Ark of God , they took it from the battleground at Ebenezer to the city of Ashdod .
2 They carried the Ark of God into the temple of Dagon and placed it beside the idol of Dagon .
3 But when the citizens of Ashdod went to see it the next morning , Dagon had fallen with his face to the ground in front of the Ark of the LORD ! So they set the idol up again .
