PROGRAM SUCCESS – AUGUST 2010 PAGE 19 Bethune-Cookman University New Coach Brian Jenkins Looks To Kick-Off Season With High Expectations Brian Jenkins Wilcats Fooball Coach Norfolk, Virginia - B-CU Head Football Coach Brian Jenkins talked with the MEAC media Friday, July 31st and addressed the MEAC Kickoff Luncheon along with the 12 other head coaches in the afternoon in the annual MEAC Football Kickoff. “I am honored to be the head coach of Bethune-Cookman and to be up here with all these great coaches,” said Coach Jenkins at the luncheon. “I know what it is to be a Cookman man and we want to restore that legacy, being proud and carrying on the traditions of Mary McLeod Bethune.” we are set with. Everybody asks the questions of what kind of offense and I am optimistic and guarded with all that. Our players will be working very hard and our coaching staff will prepare them for the opening game and we look forward to that.” Jenkins spoke to the media earlier in the day and lauded B-CU’s All- MEAC pre-season players Reggie Sandilands (Jr. LB) and senior DE Ryan Davis who both made second team defense honors. “Reggie Sandilands and Ryan Davis are returning players and team leaders that will be very instrumental for us this year defensively.” The Wildcats open training camp Sunday, August 7 and the team media/photo/fan day will be August 15, time TBA, at Municipal Stadium, showcasing the new Field Turf surface in the 2010 season. “We will be concerned with and preparing hard for the first game, (Edward Waters September 4) and that is all
