can do such things. So we will wait for you to help us.
The rest of the passage tells us that Prophets are telling us that all is
well! We have the same thing today. Well I beg to differ, all is not well,
but I believe that if God said that He would heal the land that is exactly
what He will do! But we must first do as He commanded. Now understand this, God did not say if “everybody” would pray and seek His
face, He said if “My People who are called by my name” would pray!
Programs in there proper place are fine, but it is time that the true
believers begin to seek his face. And yes that also means that we need
to turn from the wicked ways that we have. “My church is bigger and
better than yours” and all of the other things that people do to divide
the body instead of uniting the body.
Like Jeremiah says in verse 18, we are having more and more people
dying in the streets, more and more homeless and hungry people, and
yet all we are doing is coming up with more programs. The church
needs to do more calling God’s people together to pray for the land
and let the secular world deal with the programs.
In verse 22 the prophet says “Can any of the foreign gods send us
rain?” Well I close by asking likewise, can any foreign gods send us
the Spiritual rain that we so badly need? It is not in programs, it about
the true believers across the land turning towards our God and seeking
His face for relief in healing the land. Can the true believers take the
month of July, and seek God for the healing of the land? Can we fast
at least 12 hours a day for the month? Can we turn off the Televisions
during that time or give up a meal or two, no radio during that time, or
however the Lord leads you! But pastors can we agree? Brothers and
Sister will you sacrifice? Where are my people?
