Bethune-Cookman University , the home of the Wildcats , is an NCAA Division I University in Daytona Beach , Florida which is an HBCU ( Historically Black Colleges and Universities ) and a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference ( MEAC ). The university ' s sports programs consist of Baseball , Men ' s Basketball , Women ' s Basketball , Bowling , Cross Country , Football ( Division I FCS ), Golf , Softball , Tennis , and Track & Field .

Kendra Cooper Liberal Arts ' 1 7 , Women ' s Basketball

Bethune-Cookman University is a National Collegiate Athletics Association ( NCAA ) Division 1 school . Its intercollegiate athletic programs have achieved national recognition . A $ SOOK NCAA Accelerating Academic Success Program Comprehensive Grant was awarded to the university to fund enhanced academic support , monitoring , tutoring and evaluation and additional support staff .
