Marching Wildcats The Pride of Bethune-Cookman University
The Marching Wildcats are a 325 member unit which includes instrumentalists , the Sophisticat Flag Corp , and the 14 Karat Gold Dancers . Known as The PRIDE , the band strives to bring the finest in half-time performances to viewing audiences .
The nationally famous 14 Karat Gold dancers are made up of select young ladies who exemplify exceptional dance skills , poise , and class . The dancers are featured performers in all engagements of the Marching Wildcats and occasionally perform as a solo act . The 14K dancers can be seen frequently in BET video clips promoting Black Colleges .
The Sophisticat Flag Corp has been recognized as one of the most exciting auxiliary units in the south . The corp is known for its blending of traditional flag techniques with innovative choreography to create highly entertaining presentations .

Recognized as " The Heartbeat of B-CU ," the band has performed at many events in the last decade . NFL Halftime Shows , national commercial for ESPN ' s Monday Night Football , live performance with recording artist " Shaggy " for the MTV Rock N ' Jock Celebrity Super Bowl , Walt Disney World Christmas Morning Parade , filmed a commercial for Cadillac Automobile Company , was the focus of a reality show with ESPNU called the " Battle ", appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show , XLIII Super Bowl in Tampa , FL with recording artist Faith Hill and Jennifer Hudson , the only HBCU Band featured in the Drum and Bugle Corp Magazine " Halftime " twice , were selected for the tenth year to participate in the Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta . - 2004 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 , 2017 & January 2018 .
Often referred to as the epitome of Pride : Pride in themselves , Pride in perfection , Pride in performance , and Pride in the institution they represent . They are the one and only Bethune Cookman University Marching Wildcats .
