Sonia Gordon accepted an opportunity from Bill Gates to enter into the IT world as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer . Before she knew it , she was providing IT Services that spanned across Texas and Florida with major companies such as IBM , Bank of America , McDonnell Douglas , Dallas World Trade Center and various firms in the Health Care industry . Consulting services included establishing contracts , upgrading connecting network topologies , and migrating systems . Later as a Systems Analyst and Project Manager with FedEx , she became an accom f lished Certified Project Management Professiona ( PMP ) and earned the title of Project Advisor in the ever-evolving world of Information Security and EDI Services . It was also there that she earned her MBA in Business and continues to train and acquire new skills . Constantly staying up-to-date on technology provides her the ability to adapt and change within the rapidly developing industry . Sonia ' s dynamic personality and talents enable her to influence collaboration across global organizational domains ; business units , operations , and technical support areas .
" I initially wanted to become a teacher to motivate and make a positive impact in the world of others ," Sonia explains . " But then I found that I was strong in providing excellent technical customer service when I was identified as one of the top customer service reps in IBM during my first month and this was before I gained any technical experience . I was a natural at adapting and solving customer problems ." With her natural ability and confidence to adapt and lead in any environment , Sonia became an Account Executive managing multiple and major customer accounts at a publishing firm that had demanding deadlines . " I supported Sales Representatives , High Valued Customers , Marketing , and the Manufacturing Teams throughout the organization . I then earned my Bachelor and Master ' s in order to continue broadening my horizon ."
