A Plan for Unity Unity can be defined as the state
or condition of being UNITED as one .
Jacksonville can be United . One City with One Goal of making life more prosperous , productive and fulfilling for Each One of its citizens . This is the goal of The Northside Coalition of Jacksonville , we are fighting against any form of racial , social or economic injustice that permits this from being a reality . " How good and how pleasant is it for brethren to dwell together in unity !" Here is our plan for Unity .

1 . We must begin to stop focusing on those things that divide us and instead start focusing on things which we agree . NCOJ will not be a part of any effort that divides or disrupts us or deter us from our mission to fight against injustice .
2 . We must put a halt to the divisive , infighting and strife . Our egos must be left outside of the doors of negotiations . We must respect the fact that each of us have something to add in our attempts to bring about Unity to our city .

3 . The Northside Coalition of Jacksonville is calling for reasonable reforms that can enhance the trust between JSO and the Community :
a . Citizen Review Board - to investigate and review allegation of police misconduct .
b . An end to JSO ' s controversial internal investigations . The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and not the JSO should investigate all Police involved shootings .
c . Legal redress should be sought in the efforts to gain , allow public attendance at the JSO Response to Resistance Board meetings which deal with police disciplinary actions .
d . All Body Cam Policy must be based on Civil Rights Principles and the public must be made aware of any policy changes in the future .
e . The JSO ' s Diversity Training Program should be reviewed and updated .
