Learning comes to life at Thornton Academy Middle School !
TAMS is a place where students create , dream , and inspire . It ’ s a place where everyone knows your name and you are more than just a student in the classroom . At TAMS , each student is valued as an integral member of our learning community . Our teachers work hard to create an atmosphere where all different types of learning may take place . As a small school , we are able to take a personalized approach toward recognizing the individual needs and accomplishments of each student .
TAMS is a leader in bringing innovative programs to middle school students . In fact , we pride ourselves in the comprehensive offerings available to our students . From taking advanced courses at the upper school to receiving additional support from our certified teachers at TAMS , we meet each student with enthusiasm and care — right where they are .
TAMS offers an environment where students can figure out exactly what excites and inspires them . Middle school is a time for learning , exploration , and growth . We encourage our students to take the time to explore their interests outside of academics — whether that means getting involved in a school club , participating in the performing arts , or joining one of our athletic teams . At TAMS , you are encouraged to take risks and try new things . After all , middle school is a time to figure out exactly what it is you like to do . At TAMS , you truly can do it all !
