Non-Member Girls:

• Girls who are not currently registered as Girl Scouts will pay the event fee plus an additional $20.00 fee which provides

supplemental insurance for the event.

Cancellations/Refunds:

• All cancellation/refund requests must be submitted in writing (US Mail, fax, or email) to the Program Registrar office.

• Full event fee refunds will be issued in the following circumstances:

*An event is cancelled b y Girl Scouts—Dakota Horizons due to bad wea ther, low enr ollment or adult/ girl ratio is not met .

Weather related cancellations will be made via local TV and radio. Cancellations due to low enrollment or adult/girl ratio not

being met will be made via email, phone or US Mail to the adult contact noted on the registration form.

*Participant is unable to attend and written cancellation is received at least 5 weeks prior to the event date.

*Serious illness or medical emergency.

• Partial event fee refunds will be issued in the following circumstance:

*Participant cancellation is received 3-5 weeks prior to the event date, and the event fee is over $15.00. A partial refund will be

issued for the girl or adult event fee less a $15.00 administrative fee.

• No event fee refunds will be issued in the following circumstances:

*Participant arriving late, leaving early, or attending only a portion of the event.

*Participant cancellation received less than 3 weeks prior to event date.

*An event is held but a participant chooses not to attend and written cancellation is not submitted by refund deadline.

• Check, credit card and money order payments will be refunded via check from Girl Scouts—Dakota Horizons. Girl event fees

paid for with Dakota Certificates will be refunded with Dakota Certificates. Please allow 30 days after cancellation to receive your

refund.

If you must cancel or someone cannot attend, please send written notice immediately, so we can contact those on the waitlist.

Adult/Girl Ratios:

• To make every girl’s experience fun and safe, all events must meet the minimum adult/girl ratio required by Safety Activity

Checkpoints. If the minimum adult/girl ratio is not met, the event will be cancelled and refunds processed (see page 3 for

adult/girl ratios).

Waitlist Notices:

• When an event reaches maximum capacity, a paper registration form with payment may be submitted and will be placed in a

waitlist status. The adult contact noted on the registration form will receive an email notification that you are on a waitlist

within 5 business days of receipt of the event registration.

Confirmation Notices:

• Confirmations will be sent with program details after the closing date of an event. If you do not receive a waitlist notification

or confirmation notice within 10 days of the event, please call 877-904-8168.

Substitutions:

• Substitutions are not allowed for girl participants. Substitutions are allowed for adult participants in order to comply with

Safety Activity Checkpoints adult/girl ratio. Please notify Program Registrar of any adult substitutions.
