THE GO SHOW
Presented by Melbourne International Arts Festival and
Footscray Community Arts Centre
Jump aboard The GO Show bus for a fun and inspiring
whirlwind tour of the West
Under the artistic direction of choreographer and director Rebecca Hilton,
The GO Show teams high calibre artists and hundreds of participants in a
whole host of workshops. The results of these collaborations are performed
and presented alongside some of Footscray’s most intriguing landmarks.
Intrepid Festivalgoers can board The GO Show bus that winds its way from
Whitten Oval – home of the Western Bulldogs Football Club – via Maddern
Square in the heart of Footscray to the Basement Theatre of Footscray
Community Arts Centre (FCAC) itself.
Mounted as a one-off project in 2006 with its focus very much based in
the western suburbs, The GO Show was such a roaring success that this
year Melbourne Festival and Footscray Community Arts Centre invite all
Melburnians and visitors to Melbourne to sample the wealth of talent the
West has to offer.
Experience a taste of the West and what the locals are passionate about.
There’s an incredible range of performances to see as part of The
GO Show that have all been developed by local residents and artists.
