Harrison 32C Channel Plug-In
Harrison Consoles has released the 32C Channel plug-in , which is based on the company ’ s original 32C analog console from 1975 .
Like the EQ in Harrison ’ s Mixbus32c workstation introduced in 2016 , the 32C Channel plug-in uses a complex emulation of the original 32C EQ . Every resistor , capacitor , and transistor is included in the model . Now users can give their mix the classic Harrison 32C sound regardless of which host they use . The 32C Channel plug-in is a fully cross format plug-in for Windows , macOS , and Linux , that supports AAX , VST3 , VST and AU . It features the Harrison 32C four-band parametric equalizer with proportional Q bell and shelving curves on the high and low bands and musical overlapping midrange bands . A high pass and low pass filter section is included , with a unique Bump feature providing classic low-end punch . Harrison ’ s compressor with three different characters is also included . Selections for smooth compression , classic leveling , and fast limiting are provided . Those three quick presets help recreate the signature compression effects with minimal effort .
Waves CLA Nx Mixing Plug-In
Waves Audio is now shipping the CLA Nx plug-in , which brings Grammywinning mixer Chris Lord-Alge ’ s famed Mix LA studio control room to any pair of headphones . After faithfully modeling Lord-Alge ’ s console and classic hardware gear in previous CLA-designated plug-ins , Waves and CLA have teamed up to replicate Lord-Alge ’ s unique Mix LA room acoustics and monitoring system .
Built by the late premier studio designer Vincent Van Hoff , Mix LA has been Chris Lord-Alge ’ s studio since 2008 . In this room he has mixed for Bruce Springsteen , Green Day , Muse , and countless other top artists . With the CLA Nx plug-in , his complete monitoring setup is now available over any headphones . This includes the acoustic response of Lord-Alge ’ s NS10-modeled CLA-10 nearfield monitors , coupled with his subwoofer system ; his custom-built Ocean Way HR1 farfield speakers , modified to his specs ; and the boombox model he relies on to check how his mixes will translate to small-speaker devices .
The CLA Nx plug-in combines Waves Nx spatial audio technology with precise measurements of Mix LA to replicate the acoustic response of the control room inside any set of headphones .
L-Acoustics SB10i Subwoofer
L-Acoustics has launched its newest addition to the SB lineup – the SB10i . Delivering the same sonic signature of the company ’ s much larger subs , but from a significantly scaled-down enclosure design , the SB10i is not much larger than two side-by-side shoe boxes .
Equipped with a single 10-in . driver , 27 Hz bandwidth limit , and 124dB maximum SPL output , the high-powered SB10i measures 21.3 in . L x 21.3 in . W x 6.7 in . H and weighs 33 lbs . Sonically corresponding with L-Acoustics ’ X4i and 5XT ultra-compact coaxial speakers , the new sub has a discreet design , and is available in RAL colours , making it a good choice for high-end commercial environments , sophisticated hospitality settings , sports luxury boxes , museum installs , and more . The integrated “ tech face ” contains all connectors and mounting points in one unobtrusive panel , so mounting hardware , cables , and connectors can be hidden , regardless of where or how the SB10i is installed .
