Shure Microflex MX415 Dual-Cartridge Gooseneck Microphone
Shure has launched the Microflex MX415 dual-cartridge gooseneck microphone for multi-feed live sound events and broadcasts . Mounted to a single , flexible gooseneck , the low-profile dual-cartridge housing ensures speech is captured simultaneously by two cardioid cartridges , each to a separate output preamp , which provides reliable , multi-feed audio with a streamlined appearance . Each audio signal path is completely isolated with its own ground to ensure that electrical interference is not transferred between mics . With the integrated CommShield technology , RF interference from mobile devices is rejected , resulting in a clean signal . It features two 5-ft . cables exiting from the bottom of mic , terminating in two TQG four-pin socket connectors . There are two external in-line preamps with three-pin XLR connectors . The included shock mount provides more than 20dB of isolation from surface vibration noise , and it ships with a foam windscreen and mesh ball grille , as well as a full accessory kit to accommodate temporary or permanent installations .
Studio Technologies Party-Line Intercom Kits
Studio Technologies has introduced two new party-line ( PL ) intercom kits that utilize Dante audio-over-IP networking . These new kits allow users to purchase a bundle of Studio Technologies intercom products at a reduced price point . The Party-Line Intercom Kit 1 ( DPL-KIT-01 ) includes a Model 5421 Dante intercom audio engine and four Model 372A intercom beltpacks . The Party-Line Intercom Kit 2 ( DPL-KIT-02 ) again includes a Model 5421 Dante intercom audio engine but with four Model 373A intercom beltpacks .
These new offerings are meant to enable personnel to easily implement a high-performance , Dante-enabled PL intercom system in fixed and mobile broadcast facilities , post-production studios , commercial and educational theatre environments , industrial , and general entertainment applications .
The Model 5421 Dante intercom audio engine is a compact half-rack unit that supports 16 Dante receiver ( input ) and transmitter ( output ) channels . Only a Gigabit Ethernet network connection with power-over-Ethernet ( PoE ) capability is required for Model 5421 operation . Users can configure the 16-channel audio engine to provide from one to four “ virtual ” intercom circuits . Unlike general-purpose Dante digital matrix devices , the Model 5421 is optimized for intercom applications , providing multiple mix-minus buses for optimal comms audio performance . The unit ’ s integral auto mix capability helps to ensure that audio quality is maintained . The Model 5421 is directly compatible with Studio Technologies ’ range of Dante-enabled beltpacks , intercom , and interface-related products .
