Solotech Appoints Denis Dumouchel as President , Sales & Systems Integration in Canada

the pandemic , according to the company . “ This year , we reaffirmed our leadership position in sales and systems integration in Canada with the acquisition of CBCI , a leader in audiovisual and videoconferencing solutions ,” says Philip Giffard , global president of the Sales and Systems Integration Division .
The merger of CBCI and Solotech requires a new structure to effectively support Solotech ’ s continued growth across all its locations . For this , the company has appointed Denis Dumouchel as president of sales and systems integration in Canada . Dumouchel will oversee all operations and teams in Solotech ’ s Canadian offices . “ It ’ s a pleasure to continue actively contributing to the development of Solotech and drive its diversified service offering across Canada ,” he says . Denis was until recently president of CBCI . He held many key roles at CBCI since 1994 before becoming president and CEO in 2011 . He has substantial expertise in videoconferencing and collaboration solutions .
As part of this new structure , Giffard also announced the appointment of Alexandre Pecqueux as vice president of innovation and operational excellence . Drawing on his 15-plus years of experience at Solotech , Pecqueux will determine the overall direction , oversee all programs and projects , and roll out the division ’ s strategic plans . Finally , Caroline Martel is appointed vice president of service , operations , and transformation . Following on her four years as Solotech ’ s director of customer service and then director of operations , Martel will be responsible for planning and managing all aspects of customer service policies , objectives , and initiatives for the entire division .

AES Announces Results of 2021 Elections ; Bruce Olson Named 2022 President-Elect
The Audio Engineering Society has announced the incoming officers and governors following the 2021 Board of Directors and Board of Governors elections . The Society ’ s membership has elected AES ’ s Standards Committee chair for the past decade , Bruce Olson , as president-elect .
Additionally , Jorge M . Azama has been elected as vice president for the Latin America Region ; Kazuhiko Kawahara has been elected as vice president Asia- Pacific Region ; Ewa Lukasik has been elected as vice
BRUCE OLSON president for Central Region , Europe ; Alberto Pinto has been re-elected as vice president Southern Europe / Middle East / Africa Region ; and Bill Schulenburg has been elected vice president Central Region , USA / Canada .
Newly elected governors are Prince Charles Alexander , Areti Andreopoulou , and Hyunkook Lee . Save for the president-elect , each newly-elected individual will serve a two-year term , while Pinto will have his current term of office extended by an additional two years . Olson will serve a year on the AES Board of Directors as president-elect , in 2023 as president , in 2024 as past-president , followed by two years as a governor . All those newly elected will begin their terms on Jan . 1 , 2022 .
In addition to the Board elections , the AES Membership approved Bylaws updates on the timing of the Board of Governors-elected director selection process and Bylaws document clarifications and formatting .

Johnson spent almost six years as associate publisher / editorial director with Prism Business Media , where he launched the Live Design franchise in December 2005 . He was subsequently a publisher and managing director at Penton , where he became responsible for all aspects of the Live Design franchise , including the LDI trade show . He later became managing director of Informa , managing multiple event / digital brands in the entertainment technology market , including the LDI , XLive and WFX trade shows . Earlier in his career , Johnson was editor of Entertainment Design magazine at Primedia .
