AES Vegas 2021 Cancelled ; AES Fall Online 2021 Proceeding as Scheduled
Shortly after the announcement was made that the 2021 NAB Show was cancelled , the Audio Engineering Society ( AES ) announced that its convention , which was slated to be co-located with NAB in Las Vegas from Oct . 10-13 , would also be cancelled .
“ The AES convention was co-located with the NAB Show , and following the NAB announcement , the AES will regrettably cancel the in-person AES Show Las Vegas 2021 ,” the AES said in its announcement . “ We apologize for the change in plans , but we hope you understand that it was not feasible to continue as planned . Please focus on your continued health and safety , and hopefully , 2022 can see the muchanticipated return of in-person Audio Engineering Society community events .” The AES Fall Online program will proceed , with events taking place online between Oct . 16 – 31 , including a broadly focused technical program from Oct . 20 – 23 , 2021 .
