CITT Opens Registration for Rendez-vous & World Stage Design 2022
With its Expo-Scène trade show recently wrapped up , CITT / ICTS is now looking ahead to its 2022 Rendez-vous Annual Conference and Trade Show , which will be held from August 11-13 in Calgary , in conjunction with World Stage Design 2022 . Organizers expect hundreds of professionals coming from around the world and from all sectors of the live performance arts will converge to the Canadian
Rockies to share , discover , and experience this unique joint event .
For this in-person edition of Rendez-vous 2022 , CITT / ICTS has asked members to help it build an engaging program that would offer its usual mix of lively roundtables and panel discussions on current topics related to the live events technology industry along with compelling educational sessions , TEC Talks , hands-on workshops , and the industry product showcase and trade show , plus the popular Swag Bingo Night , which will finally be returning in non-virtual setting .
This year ’ s delegate registration for Rendez-vous is combined with World Stage Design 2022 registration , using the WSD 2022 online registration portal . This registration will give access to both events . CITT / ICTS members will be asked to enter a specific discount code in the registration form to receive the reduced price . Email rendezvous @ citt . org to receive the code . Registraiton is also now open for companies who want to exhibit and secure a booth in the trade show .

NWC Appoints Manus Hopkins as New Assistant Editor
Jim Norris , president of NWC , has announced the appointment of Manus Hopkins as assistant editor . NWC is the publisher of Canadian Musician , Canadian Music Trade , Professional Sound , and Professional Lighting & Production magazines , along
MANUS HOPKINS
with the Canadian Musician Podcast . Originally from Whitehorse , YT , Hopkins is a graduate of Ryerson University ’ s journalism program ( since renamed Toronto Metropolitan University ) and is based in Toronto . He has worked freelance writer with a particular focus on the arts , and an accomplished guitarist and audio engineer . He has previously written for Canadian Musician as a freelance writer , and also for Exclaim !.
