Studio Technologies Model 5402 & Model 5401 Dante Leader Clocks
Studio Technologies has introduced two Dante leader clocks , the Model 5402 with GNSS Synchronization and updated Model 5401A , for supporting the timing needs of Dante-compliant devices .
The synchronization needs of Dante devices connected to a local area network ( LAN ) can be seamlessly supported using the PTPv1 ( IEEE 1588-2002 ) protocol . For Dante ’ s implementation of AES67 and ST2110 , both the Model 5401A and Model 5402 provide support for the PTPv2 ( 1588-2008 ) protocol . Both the Model 5401A and Model 5402 can serve as the Dante Leader Clock for hundreds of Dante devices that can be simultaneously active on a LAN .
Any required configuration can be performed using the webpage interface or by way of the graphics display and controls provided on the front panel . Ethernet connections are made using standard RJ45 jacks and redundant powering is supported via AC mains and 12V DC inputs . Each unit takes of 1U of rack space .
The Model 5402 offers all the capabilities of the Model 5401A with the additional timing precision provided by an integrated GNSS receiver . This allows the Leader Clock ’ s timing reference to be derived from the four major satellite constellations : GPS ( U . S .), Galileo ( Europe ), BeiDou ( China ) and GLONASS ( Russia ). In addition , GPS capability can be augmented with the unit ’ s support of the QZSS ( Japan ) constellation . Each Model 5402 includes a high-performance , weather resistant antenna .

PreSonus MicroStation BT Bluetooth 5.0 Stereo Monitor Controller
PreSonus has released the MicroStation BT Bluetooth 5.0 stereo monitor controller , which is designed to be a compact , convenient , and stylish way to receive audio from a phone , tablet , or other Bluetooth source and feed it to full-range powered speakers .
The MicroStation BT also can be hardwired to a powered subwoofer to create a 2.1 listening environment . Users can quickly pair their Bluetooth-enabled device and a stereo 1 / 8-in . input enables hardwiring of an audio source when the user doesn ’ t want to use Bluetooth . A Bluetooth On / Off button lets them toggle between Bluetooth and analog sources . Balanced left and right 1 / 4-in . TRS inputs route audio from pro audio hardware , such as an audio interface , to speakers and subwoofer .
Users can connect a powered subwoofer using either the balanced 1 / 4-in . TRS or unbalanced RCA Subwoofer outputs . An 1 / 8-in . stereo headphone / aux output lets them connect headphones or send stereo audio for streaming , recording , and more . A large Volume knob lets users simultaneously control the overall level of their speakers and subwoofer . A Sub Bypass button mutes the subwoofer feed so they can quickly toggle between a 2.1 system and the full-range speakers .

Barix Exstreamer M400 IP Audio Decoder
Barix has introduced the Exstreamer M400 , the first model in a new generation of the company ’ s Exstreamer IP audio decoder family . It offers end users and systems integrators a modern , extensible , and easy-to-deploy decoder platform supporting the latest technology standards .
Powered by Barix ’ s Linux-based IPAM 400 audio module , the Exstreamer M400 has significantly higher processing power than previous Exstreamer models and a more programmable , software-driven architecture for easier expansion , rapid prototyping , and customization . An increased buffer size and advanced buffer management technology bolster the Exstreamer M400 ’ s resilience to network performance disruptions . Expanded support for IT security standards includes HTTPS : support for audio streams and the web-based management interface , plus secure , encrypted SIP ( voice-over-IP ) communications using TLS and SRTP .
Installation of multiple Exstreamer M400 units is simplified by the devices ’ included System Configuration Tool . Accessible through a web browser , an intuitive dashboard enables installers to efficiently configure up to hundreds of Exstreamer M400 devices at once . It can be used to easily assign devices to grouped zones and specify up to five prioritized source streams for each unit , as well as the relative volume of each stream .
The Exstreamer M400 features stereo , line-level , analog audio output with RCA-type connections and can decode streams in MP3 , AAC-HE , FLAC , PCM , Opus , and Ogg Vorbis formats , as well as supporting SIP and secure SIP in peer-to-peer and server modes .
