Austrian Audio has launched the new Hi-X65 headphones . Designed as professional monitoring headphones for mixing and mastering , the open overear design and the high-excursion driver ensure fully transparent sound , according to the company .
All Austrian Audio Hi-X headphones feature a 44-mm driver and a ring magnet system . This design allows for improved airflow and includes the strongest magnetic field in its class . The ring magnet , combined with a copper-clad aluminum voice coil , yields distinct bass imaging and better low THD at low frequencies , a linear frequency response , and open , precise , high-resolution sound that simplifies error detection .
The included exchangeable cables of 1.2 m and 3 m lengths ( 4 and 9 feet ) connect with the headphones with a secure locking mechanism , while the standard 3.5mm stereo jack plug ensures the highest possible consumer compatibility , and an adapter to a ¼ ” stereo jack is included for professional connections .
The breathable construction ensures ventilation , while supporting the acoustic design . The soft memory foam padding is designed to significantly reduce the headphones ’ contact pressure , allowing work on time-consuming audio projects without experiencing fatigue .

IS-Series Weatherized models are designed to achieve an IP55 rating without sacrificing performance or aesthetics . All structural steel elements of the IS-Series Weatherized cabinets are made of a high-yield strength stainless alloy that offers 100 % corrosion resistance . The new models also feature an interior and exterior coating with a distinctive smooth finish that provides a water-resistant seal and allows for easy cleaning and removal of dirt , grime , salt water , or sand .
To supplement the product release , the company has also released an update to its suite of design tools for integrators , including new Autodesk Revit and SketchUp libraries for the IS-Series , and updated EASE and CAD files for the complete Adamson loudspeaker line .
