Solid State Logic SiX Channel & Ultraviolet EQ 500 Series Modules
Solid State Logic has introduced two new modular processors as part of its SSL 500 Series module range — the SiX Channel and Ultraviolet EQ .
SiX Channel is a single-width 500 Series channel strip using the SuperAnalogue processing features from SSL ’ s compact SiX console , including the mic pre , low and high frequency EQ , as well as the single-knob compressor . SiX Channel is a simple way to add additional mic / line inputs to the line level inputs of any professional audio device , and is also a flexible way to create a professional modular mixer from a ‘ summing ’ 500 Series rack unit .
The onboard VHD + Pre features front and rear inputs with four impedance selections making it an extremely versatile mic pre and DI box for a wide range of microphones and instruments through a 100 % -analog signal path .
The Ultraviolet EQ takes the acclaimed minimum phase-shift Violet stereo EQ section from SSL ’ s new Fusion analog processor , and puts it into the 500 series format . Over and above Fusion ’ s Violet EQ , Ultraviolet takes features one step further , adding two dedicated mid-bands , with precision Focus mode for ultimate EQ control . Ultraviolet draws on the SSL legacy of selecting key frequencies and response curves to create a musical and intuitive EQ , designed to quickly dial in the sound of your mix , sub groups and individual instruments . ARX Systems Ultra deBalancer
ARX Systems has released the Ultra deBalancer , a two-channel audio de-balancer and switchable + 4dB or -10dB Level Optimizer , specifically designed for converting pro audio balanced outputs to unbalanced signals .
With so many different consumer products in today ’ s ‘ BYOD ’ environment , users need the right equipment to silently interface with unbalanced + 4dB line level signal paths or the -10dB unbalanced inputs of low operating level professional and consumer electronics .
The ARX Ultra deBalancer interface offers a straightforward solution with industry standard female Amphenol XLR inputs and a transformer isolated and de-balanced 6.5-mm jack , as well as RCA and 3.5-mm Jack outputs to cover all plug types .
The transformer ground isolation provides low-noise operation suitable for any application whilst preventing ground loops and other extraneous noise , while the heavy-duty all-steel chassis of the ARX Ultra deBalancer is finished in a matte textured blue powdercoat , with hardwearing epoxy screen printing and a large slip-resistant rubber pad underneath .

Pan Acoustics P SW-112 SP Subwoofers
Pan Acoustics has added to its line of subwoofers with the P SW-112 SP active enclosure . In addition to the active variant , the passive P SW-112 model is also available .
The P SW-112 SP features an attractive design as well as a pure , precise , and deep bass reproduction . The enclosure can be operated individually or in various cardioid configurations ns , and an additional passive P SW-112 can be operated via the NL4 output at the back .
The P SW-112 SP features Pan Audio DSP and network functions such as Pan Net , AES / EBU , and Dante and is operated via user-friendly Windows software . The sub is connected to the computer via a Pan Net interface or via Dante . Digital signal processing from the Pan Audio DSP can be used to enter and control the sound and delay times .
The P SW-112 SP is equipped with a specially-developed 12-in . HQ woofer driver . On the top , it is possible to attach a distance bar by means of a screw thread insert . The enclosure is designed as a direct radiating speaker and is available in all RAL colours , while the standard colour is black with textured ed coating .
